- Implementing the system can be more costly than the system itself
- Make sure the system will integrate with other software you already use
- Plan on sending employees to training to learn how to use the software effectively
- Determine in advance your current and future needs of the system
- Work with educated consultants who can help pick the system
- Make sure you budget for any hardware upgrades that will be needed
- Plan on a 4 to 6 month implementation schedule for more complex systems
- Free systems can be implemented by your own staff
