(printable)Being proactive means to act in advance to deal with difficulty. Here are a few tips to being a proactive individual:
- Look at your responsibilities
- Decide how you could handle your responsibilities more effectively and efficiently
- Try to prevent problems from arising
- Try to solve problems rather than dwelling on them
- Stay on top of day to day tasks
- Have positive mantras posted
- Look for ways to automate routine tasks
- Have a schedule to complete routine tasks
- Try to learn new skills to help solve common problems you have
- Take a step back and try to find a new perspective on the situation at hand
- Think of what you would tell a friend about solving the same problem
